Synopsis: Goodreads:

All any of us could talk about was Chris’s disappearance and howbizarre it was that he had last been seen close to the House of Night. I didn’t want to believe it. But everything inside me said that the kid would be found but he’d be found dead

Things seem to be going pretty well for Zoey Redbird. She’s settled in at the House of Night finishing school and is coming to terms with her incredible new powers. It all seems too good to be true. And guess what?
Someone has begun murdering human teenagers, and all evidence point to the vampyres at Zoey’s school. Which means her first assignment as the leader of the Dark Daughters is finding out which one of her classmates or – gulp – teachers is a killer.
Sigh. And she thought her boyfriends (yes:plural) were going to be ger biggest problem this year …

My Review:
I was determined to re-read my favourite series sometime last year, though that never happened. So when I received Destined I decided I was going to re-read the series before I picked up Destined.
Betrayed made me cry when I originally read it, which took some of the emotion out of it this time. Despite the lack of tears, the emotion was still there and I was still massively upset when a certain plot twist took place. The Casts have an amazing imagination and I love the world they create at The House of Night.
The characters are still as amazing as ever, though I’m not a huge fan of Neferet – and with good reasons! Most other characters are still as amazing as ever. We do however meet a new character: Jack Twist. I adore this boy, he’s gay but that doesn’t make him any less awesome. Jack is a great friend to Zoey and her friends!
So, remembering I’ve read further through the series, it’s hard to judge this book on this one alone. But, I recommend reading it because it’s really enjoyable! I can’t wait to start Chosen!
